Put together for Brent · Ten teams of two, four days in the field, September
TLDR
We can realistically knock on 400 doors. Inside the four corridors we have 943 churches to pick from, and 477 of them have already been to Jenness Park. So we have plenty to work with, and we get to be picky.
My rec is 4 teams in the Bay Area, 3 in the Central Valley, 2 in Sacramento, 1 in Fresno. That puts the most people where the warmest relationships already are. Two things to watch: Sacramento runs out of warm churches almost exactly at capacity, and the Central Valley is the hardest place to reach anybody by phone.

Who's actually on this list
Everybody falls into one of three buckets. This is the part that matters most, because it decides who's worth a team's time.
Been to Jenness Park
477
They've brought a group to camp before. They know the property, they know us, and somebody there already said yes once. These are the doors we want.
Known to Word of Life
371
They're in our records from giving or past contact, but they've never been to Jenness Park. A real relationship, just not a camp one. Good backup when we run out of the first group.
No relationship yet
95
These came off the Southern Baptist Convention list. We've never talked to them. Use them to fill a gap in a route, not to build one around.
What we're working with right now
Straight talk on the list itself, because it shapes what's possible. We have 2,765 churches total, pulled from Barry's giving records, the churches that have attended Jenness Park, and the SBC California list.
Location
99%
Nearly everybody has a city and ZIP, which is how we built the map.
Street address
0%
We don't have a single street address yet. This is the one thing blocking real route planning.
Phone number
69%
Roughly two out of three we can call ahead to book a visit.
Email address
59%
Fine, but the landing page is where we'll really collect email.
Pastor's name
64%
Helps a lot on a cold call. Worth filling in for the churches we actually plan to visit.
Website
34%
Low, but not something we need to fix for this campaign.
The honest limitation: because we only have ZIP codes, this map shows where churches are concentrated, not exactly where each one sits. That's plenty to decide where teams go. It is not enough to plan a driving route, and we'll need street addresses before September.
The four corridors
Tap any corridor to filter everything below it. Bigger circle means more churches in that city.
Tap a corridor or a circle. Tap it again to clear.
Dig into the numbers
Same data as the map, city by city. Filter by corridor above, or by group here.
How I'd split the teams
Ten teams, four days, ten churches a day each. Here are the two ways I'd consider doing it.
What I'd do
Go where the warm relationships are
Hand out teams based on how many churches in each corridor have already been to Jenness Park. Those visits are going to convert best, so we put the most people in front of the people who already know us.
4Bay Area
3Central Valley
2Sacramento
1Fresno
Worth considering
Go where they're packed tightest
Sacramento and Fresno are compact, so a team there burns way less of the day driving. Moving a team north would buy us more finished visits, but they'd be colder doors than the ones we'd give up in the Bay Area.
3Bay Area
3Central Valley

1Fresno
Sacramento has no margin. Two teams there is 80 visits against exactly 80 churches that have been to Jenness Park. Not tight, exactly even. We'll have to pull from the "known to Word of Life" group to fill those routes, so let's plan on it now instead of finding out in the field.
Start the calling in the Central Valley. It has the second-most warm churches but only 44% of them have a phone number, the worst of the four. If we want visits booked before teams show up, that's where the work is.
Fresno is our easiest week. Best phone coverage at 69%, and it's compact. One team should be able to roll in with most of the week already on the calendar.
The Bay Area is big but spread out. Four teams is right on volume, but they're crossing bridges and fighting 880 and 680 all day. I wouldn't expect the same stops per day there as Sacramento, so let's not set one flat daily number for everybody.
One thing I need you to decide
There are 390 more churches on this map that fall outside all four corridors, and 174 of them have been to Jenness Park. That includes Sonora, which is the closest town to the camp. Right now nobody owns them. Are they in or out? It changes the team math.
